The flower provides relief from constipation

Petals are vanilla scented

Golden Trumpet
While the plant's juice or milky sap is toxid for humans and animals it is still used as a laxative.

Plumeria Flower 
These produce scented oils and are used for Leis.  
Symbolizes "love" and "new beginnings"


Crown of Thorns also known as the Christ Plant 
due to the legend that it was used as the throny crown worn by Jesus

Bark is used to relieve pain and to treat sleepiness, bronchitis, fevers and dysentery

(Obviously not a flower, but just as beautiful)


Double-petaled Red Hibiscus. 
Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies to gardens.

Toxic to humans and animals

from the Sabi River region in  South Africa


Red  ripe Clusters  (Betel Nuts) of the Manila Palm or Christmas Palm

Bougaivillea Flowers, ornamental bush native to South America

Flower used for cough and asthma and gastrointestinal problems


Jungle Geranium or Flame of the Woods or Jungle Flame
Native to Southern India


Double Petal Orange Hibiscus 


White Mexican Petunia


White bloom is the Pink-eyed Pong Pong or Sea Mango because it produces oblong, mango-shaped fruits ripen from green to pink/purple to black

Pink bloom is the Madagascar Periwinkle (the source of the cancer treating drugs vincristine and vinblastine)


Purple Fringe
Flower grows coiled like a scorpions tail.  Long stamens with yellow anthers extend far past the petals creating a "fringed" look.

Indian Head Ginger or Spiked Spiral Flag Ginger
Red orange flowers emerge from this cone, one at a time.


Google wasn't quite sure but called it the African Daisy
