Elder Quentin L. Cook and Sister Mary Cook
Elder Quentin L Cook February 26 2026 Teaching the Missionaries in Accra, Ghana
The 4 Loves of Missionary Work
1. Love our companion, be unified
2. Love the people, see them as the Lord sees them
3. Love your mission president and his companion
4. Love the Savior. As we rely on Jesus Christ and His Atonement, He can help us endure our trials, sicknesses, and pain. We can be filled with joy, peace and consolation. All that is unfair in your life can be made right through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
His promise to missionaries: "Your mission blesses everybody in your family, your parents, your siblings, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren. They and your ancestors will look at you and honor your sacrifice to go on a mission."
"Listen carefully: I know the Savior's voice, I know the Savior's face." -Elder Cook's testimony of the Savior
Elder Ringwood "And it Fell On a Day"
Elder Ringwood told the story from 2 Kings Chapter 4:8. "It fell on a day" when a women who saw Elisha pass by her house several times and perceived that he was a holy man, hurried to build a room for him with a bed, table, stool and candle. "It (soon) fell on (another) day" and she invited him to stay. In return he blessed her with a son who later became ill and died. She laid him on the same bed Elisha had slept in and traveled to find Elisha and plead for her son's life. Elisha returned to her home and with a miracle made her son alive. Elder Ringwood taught that if we build a room for the prophet in our lives, he will come and bless our lives. "It fell on a day" was a specific day in this woman's life where only a prophet could do what she needed, and what no other man could do. Think about the "It fell on a day" moments in your life where you have been blessed by following a prophet and allowing his teachings to come into your life.
While the Brethren were in Priesthood meetings the sisters enjoyed activities that I was responsbile to plan.

At the end of a priesthood leadership meeting the last thing Elder Cook said was, "Elder Wilson, we love you, thanks for all that you did."
